Weekly YouTube Feature?
To distract everyone from my lack of posting art, I've decided to do a weekly Animation (or otherwise) feature. I should update on Fridays. Yes. Ok, granted, I've decided this in the past 2 minutes, but I think I should go on with it, because I like to talk about the cool YouTube things that I find. Because I find quite a few of them. Well, not so much anymore but I have a backlog of many awesome things that I find, so. Deal with it.
And yes I'm aware that only 2-3 people have knowledge of this blog, but I plan to remedy that. Promotion, whoohoo! I can do that. Maybe.
Nonetheless, here is our first feature!
FRIDAY, JULY 3RD, 2009 YOUTUBE FEATURE:
"FOR TAX REASONS"
From what I can tell, For Tax Reasons is a small studio run by two guys, Ben Levin and Matt Burnett. They specialize in nerd content (video games and RPGs), but if you are a frequent visitor of the Internets, most of the jokes are easily understood. Their animation and character design is simple but very effective, and I for one am a huge fan of the voice-acting.
What initially drew me to For Tax Reasons was their short film "Im In Ur Manger, Killin Ur Savior", which is essentially about a reenactment of Jesus' birth gone terribly, terribly awry.
Also check out their short series called "RDCCDX: The Digital Pirates of Dark Water", which just updated with a new episode.
More to come, next week! I've got to go comfort my dog, who has recently decided that she is afraid of fireworks :C
