Oddly colored dogs!

Everybody loves oddly-colored dogs! Well, except my roommate, who finds him "terrifying". But that's OK.

I love collies. <3

Celtic Thunder Album Cover

Here's my most recent Digital Painting project. It's an album cover for Celtic Thunder:

I'm pretty pleased with the result, but we'll see how my critique goes!

Thanks for looking!

"Chips" Final Animatic

My short film idea from last semester, entitled "Chips". I only got as far as an animatic and about 5 seconds of animation, but I'm proud of what I accomplished nonetheless. I may come back and finish it one day; I still have all the X-sheets filled out and everything. In the meantime, if you want to watch the animatic, click the image above to go to the YouTube page. :)

Below are the final character designs for "Chips":

(Haha yes that is "me".)

Let me know what you guys think!

Freshman Year Figure Drawing

Went through some of my old MIAD stuff and found some of these semi-OK looking figure drawings. Thought I would share!

Gestures in vine charcoal. John is a great model.

A self portrait in ink. I was rather proud of it at the time, and I still really like that ink splatter. It's probably one of the most illustrated pieces I've done for that class.

Hands! A lot of people don't like hands but I remember having fun with these. Done in conte on brown paper.

John's butt!

Jerry's face! Apart from doing gesure drawings, portraits were always my favorite.

The model with the hair and the mean look! I kind of failed with the shadows and highlights here but I like the overall drawing.

German Shepherd Walk

Found this recently, thought I'd share:

This is my quadruped walk cycle from Animation 2, and it's probably the best animation I've made thusfar. I need to go back and clean it up.

More school stuff

You guys ready for more school art? You're in luck!

Here's the colored version of the previous endeavor. Apparently it's much-improved, Mr. Professor says. Well, good, because I have no idea what that man wants from me.

Here's some video game concept art! We're doing a fighting game called "Awkward Alliance", consisting of a weird amalgam of characters pitted against each other. So here's Jesus, who has fairly high attack power but virtually no defense.
And the freakishly sexy Bearded Lady, who has low attack power but pretty high defense. Her beard can transform into a large and powerful arm - beard-arm? - which she uses to pummel her enemies. She also looks like a cross between Ariel and Jessica Rabbit, which is weirding me out.

I have also been doing tons of Animation Production Studio stuff but I'm not sure if I want to post that yet.

So in the meantime, enjoy!
